You can now use Gemini in Google’s new AI note-taking app

Google has officially launched its AI note-taking app, NotebookLM, which brings new features and harnesses the power of its Gemini Pro large language model (LLM). NotebookLM is an experimental AI-powered app designed to assist users with taking notes, summarising them, searching for specific information about them, and even creating outlines and suggestions based on the content.

Originally known as Project Tailwind, NotebookLM was first unveiled at Google I/O 2023 and has undergone significant development since. Now, powered by the company’s advanced Gemini Pro, NotebookLM is available for users in the US and for those aged 18 and above. It will soon be rolled out in other countries.

According to the company, Google Notebook LLM offers users a range of powerful features that enhance their note-taking experience. The company describes it as a tool “to help with document understanding and reasoning,” and it introduces more than a dozen new features that allow users to seamlessly transition between reading, note-taking, and writing.
